Whole Young Turkey Cooking Instructions
Set oven rack on the lowest position in oven. Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove the outer packaging, leaving turkey in its exclusive cooking bag.
Cut four half-inch slits on top of bag for steam to escape. Loosen cooking bag from turkey to prevent sticking. Place turkey breast-side up in the center of the roasting pan. Locate yellow pop-up timer in the breast, making sure it faces you for easy viewing. Tuck ends of bag inside the pan.
Place pan in the center of oven. Roast according to chart above. Turkey is done when timer pops up, or when a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part of turkey breast, not touching the bone, registers 170°F. Remove from oven.
Let turkey stand for at least 15 minutes before opening the cooking bag. Turkey will stay warm for up to one hour if left in the exclusive cooking bag. When ready to serve, carefully open top of bag, being very careful of hot steam and juices. Your turkey is ready to carve and serve!

Thawing: To thaw your turkey in the refrigerator (recommended), place turkey, leaving it in its original packaging, in your refrigerator for 2-3 days until thawed.

To quick-thaw your turkey, remove outer packaging and place turkey in its oven bag breast-side down submerged in cold water. Make sure the bag is not punctured. Change cold water every 30 minutes. Allow approximately 30 minutes per pound using this method.
